Arctic Circle | July 30

In February of 2022 my brother passed away due to a drug overdose. Over the past year I have had time to reflect on his death and seek to understand where do I go from here. Our motorcycle trips each year were a way to bond us together in the planning, preparation and participation on an adventure that stretched us each summer. We traveled to South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado and Anchorage, Alaska in 2015. As I have thought about a return trip, I knew it had to be more than riding a motorcycle to the Arctic Circle. At the beginning of 2023 I contacted my sister Colleen, my two nieces Kami and Mack and other family members to talk about trying to raise money to help people dealing with addiction. After months of planning, we are asking for your help. On July 30th I am going to leave my home in St. Charles, Missouri to ride my brother Verl’s Triumph Tiger through the northern states into Canada to Dawson City where I will begin the journey to the Arctic Ocean in Tuktoyaktuk. In Tuk I will honor my brother’s memory with a step into the Arctic Ocean. I will then ride to the city of Seattle to join my family for a wedding celebration at the end of August. After the wedding I will then make the 2000 mile ride back home.

I am grateful for the support of my wife, Laura, my children and their families, my faith family at Hope Church and my Thursday morning Harley buddies.

Grace and peace,

Clint
